The Baby Rhino vs. Baby Huey a.k.a. Mike Reilly

Postby TheBabyRhino » Sat Jun 16, 2012 1:36 pm

I would like to pick my own opponent for my next fight. I have fought 5 guys who are six foot two and would like a break from the frost giants and fight a troll ha ha. I have a pretty decent jab but never get a chance to use it because I'm usually giving up a foot of height and a foot and a half of reach. I'm five foot six, Mike is 5'2. Other reason why this should be on the card: I am a coach of my team and Reilly, while ousted at Ambition, has apparently resurfaced at Dezee's Dungeon. And I think I am only a few years older than Reilly, ha ha so it should be a fair match up age-wise also. I will have to start doing egg nog shots to get back into his weight class, or he will have to put down those testosterone cocktails and peanut butter and fried banana samiches. I am 7-4 and what is he 1-0 from a choreographed Boston Crab? So I have a little more authentic fighting experience at this point, but need to get back in the win column. Any fight promoters out there willing to set that fight up for me?

Mike is pretty much the kiss of death to any mma gym/career. He's been a hindrance and embarrassment for far too long. I can't even believe another gym let him lurk around

Dear Lee Murray, I can see that you have your finger on the pulse of the local MMA scene. Originally, I was duped by Reilly, and thought that he was an icon in the sport. Someone that pompous and overbearing must have something to back it up right? Wrong, the more I talked to this guy, the more I realized that he was a completely self involved bull$hit artist. Before Damion Hill fought for the Brutaal 155 pound ammy title, Nick Gamst asked us to go over to Ambition to film a promo video. While I was there, I thought I would do a little recon and pick Mike Reilly's brain about Damion's opponent. Damion fought a guy named Travis Miller who at that time was on the rise; he was 5-0. I asked Mike, "How good is this Travis Miller?" Reilly replied, "Ya better watch out for this guy, he is really strong! He can bench press 500 pounds!!" I did not say anything but thought to myself,'That is not what I f%#ing asked you' I don't care what a guy can bench press, how "good" is he? Does he have head movement?, can he shoot a takedown, defend a takedown?, Does he have any submission skills/sub defense? These are the questions I was hoping to get an answer for.

And then you have the claims that he makes that he has a black belt when he doesn't. The only MMA "fight" that he ever participated in, he reportedly offered seven guys on the show $500 to take a dive asking them to let him win with a Boston Crab. He eventually found some fiscally challenged patsy who let him win.

As a gym owner, there are times I need to send a fighter out there over their head, in order to promote the gym in the hope that the publicity will keep the doors open a little while longer. If one of my fighters is going to stick his neck in the noose, mine will be in there along with his/hers. Mike Reilly has sent his guys/gals out to take a beating but won't get in there himself in a "real" fight. IMO, that lacks a certain ethic, lacks integrity. At 47, I know that when I step in there against a 20 year old, things are not always going to go my way ha ha. But as the general of my army, I will not sit on the hill with a pair of binoculars and watch. But I will ride down there with them ha ha! Reilly is the general who will sit on his horse, safe, far away from the fray and eating his peanut butter and fried banana samich ha ha.

Dear Tommy Reardon:
All good questions. I thought Reilly must have some incriminating pictures of the owners doing untold things at the petting zoo. But now they uncovered the negatives, and he is out! ha ha

Ok, that might not be true.

My guess is that Reilly taught his guys to punch as though they were on a pro wrestling show instead of an MMA circuit.

Maybe it was how he got his fighter to swoon and then lay down to collect not only the 145 belt but the Spirit of the Warrior award at the last TI Casino show. They should have been awarded best supporting actor and best director for their roles in that performance..

I would have fired one of my cornermen who told a fighter they could win by acting or feigning incapacity. But this seems to be consistent with Reilly's nature, the core of his character.

All he has to do to prove me wrong is step in the cage, for real this time.

Hello again Lee Murray:
I was told about this bribe to take a dive story from a few sources. I am as old as Reilly you see and some former wrestlers/wrestling coaches from my era were at the show. I listened to the retelling but never asked them the date. I am more interested in Mike Reilly's next mma fight ha ha.

I imagine the type of guy who would sell their dignity so cheaply to someone like Mike Reilly would give you the deets for a minimul fee ha ha. $20 and a bottle of Mad Dog 20/20 might get you the whole story ha ha.

Nicely done Lee Murray ha ha! Ben Pherson, I think you should have Jason Spargo make a cameo appearance on your flying cloud radio show to explain why it took them so long to choreograph getting into that Boston Crab position ha ha. $500 for 30 seconds of work pretty f%#ing shrewd there Jason Spargo...

I would get him booked on the radio show, like now, before he gets paid another 500 bucks to leave town!

listen to Mike Reilly after the second round. This proves my point. Delusional, lives vicariously through his guys as though they were expendable avatar bodies on his own private video game. Pretentious, argues with the doctor who obviously has more education, common sense, and even more concern for Asplund than his own coach did.

Yes, what planet does he live on? ha ha. Planet pussy! the guy was so keen on sending his battered fighter out for a third round because he is the compensation for Reilly not having the balls to get out there at all! I hope Reilly reads this and takes this fight with me, and i will show everyone who he really is, one good punch and I will have this candy-ass backing up, looking for the exit!

Dear Savage: A constant pain in the ass!

He symbolizes everything that disgusts me, corruption, cheating, arrogance, phoniness, and coveting.

A couple things bothered me about him:

He attacked and disrespected one of my fighters in one of his cheesy promo videos. Every time one of my fighters had to go over there to shoot these videos, he abused his position with the promotion and would try to steal my team. My guys were too smart to leave a gym where I hired an elite group of coaches which includes a brown belt in BJJ, a K-1 European kick boxing champion and two boxing coaches(one who fought on Don King's circuit and the other boxing coach who had a 228-21 record and was on three Olympic teams). And the fact that he never wanted his ambition guys to fight one of the Crystal Fight Club guys unless it was at the casino, where he apparently likes a rigged game.

Is this enough reason to want to kick someone's ass? Maybe not, but I could beat him without a reason! ha ha

Re: The Baby Rhino vs. Baby Huey a.k.a. Mike Reilly

Postby TheBabyRhino » Mon Jun 25, 2012 10:08 pm

I got a call from Mike Reilly about 6 pm tonight.

He went out of his way to tell me about 7 times that he did not read my posts, which makes me believe that he read them ha ha.

He said, "You are an Irishman too, why don't you start acting like one"
I replied, "That is exactly what I am doing, Irish people have been fighting other Irish people for centuries" ha ha

Then the conversation devolved from there. He first said he wanted to fight me in a street fight. I told him that I don't see the logic in that. Why would I engage in an illegal activity, run the risk of going to jail, pay a fine when I can just fight him in the cage, legally, and instead of paying a fine get some "gas money" ha ha. He then told me to take a shot at him on the next Brutaal show so he can "Have me arrested and I will file assault charges against you."

Didn't he bump into one of the commission guys at the Target Center and then accuse him of assault? He goes to the well too often with this accusation I guess.

I tried a baker's dozen times to have him accept a fight with me in the cage on one of the upcoming shows this summer but he made excuses why he could not do that. He said we are not in the same weight class, I said I will gain weight. He said nobody wants to see two fat old guys fight in the cage, and I told him I have gotten quite a few emails saying that they would like to see him get his ass kicked and a few that said they would like to see me get my ass kicked ha ha. So there might be a few people buying tickets for that.

The conversation ended with him not wanting to get in the cage. The real reason he does not want to fight me is I am not corruptible. I am not the kind of guy he can bribe to take a dive. If you are planning to get me in a Boston Crab, you better bring a bag lunch, cause it is going to take you all night ha ha.
